Leonardo da Vinci, one of the world’s greatest polymaths, came to things with a fresh perspective, free of the assumed knowledge and dogmas of the time. He sought knowledge for its own sake via experiment and experience. Today, we are prone to default to the knowledge and expertise of others, rather than taking the time to develop our own through lived experience. Yet sometimes, and particularly on the inner planes, one can only really know through lived experience.
