So often it has happened that I have said something, named something, raised something in groups, and it has been noted briefly and then forgotten. But then days or weeks later it is raised again by another, now with new confidence and authority and ownership. This has hurt my ego greatly in the past. It will no doubt hurt my ego again in the future. But this is often how the field is seeded, so that when it is ripe and ready it can be plucked and used for the higher purpose of all.
